Here you will be able to look beneath the seas, encounter life-sized dinosaurs, get up close and personal with a jaguar, and marvel at the diversity of birds and shells from all over the world.

There are three traveling exhibitions throughout the year so be sure to check and see what is showing, in conjunction with the permanent exhibit, while you are in the area.

Hours: Monday through Saturday: 9:30 – 4:30; Sunday: Noon – 4:30.  Closed New Year’s Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  There is an early closing on Christmas Eve (1 pm) and New Year’s Eve (close at 3)

Admission: Adults: $6; Children (3-17) $5; Seniors (60+) $4; 2 and younger are free.

Directions:

From Philadelphia: Take I-95 South to Exit 3 (Rt. 322 West) Follow Rt 322 West for 7 miles to Rt 1 South.  Follow Rt 1 South 8 miles to Rt 52 South, Follow Ft 52 for approximately 5 miles.  The museum will be on your right.

From the South: Take I-95 North, Route 141 North exit towards Newport to route 52 North, towards Greenville for approximately 2 miles.  The museum will be on your left.

From Wilmington: Delaware Ave. out of the city then take a slight left onto Pennsylvania Ave. (Rte 52), go approximately 5 miles.  The museum will be on your left.

From West Chester: Rte. 202 South to Rte 1 South, take Rte 1 South to Rte 52 South and go approximately 5 miles.  The museum will be on your right.
